Looking for input on a bond issue? Want to ask constituents how you can serve them better?
With SOCS Survey, you can ask a series of targeted questions and generate detailed reports from the results.
Using SOCS Survey is easy. It allows you to:
- gather feedback on important issues
- format surveys in a style that best meets your needs
- generate a report that compiles the data the way you need it
Survey is an Manager function. Once you write your survey questions, sign on to Central Services and input them into SOCS. You'll find step-by-step instructions in the Survey Mini-Guide.
Survey offers five question formats:
- Radio buttons - designed for multiple choice questions requiring one answer
- Check boxes - multiple choice that allows more than one answer
- Drop Down menu - another multiple choice option requiring one answer
- Single line of text - for short answers
- Large text area - where you can specify character width and number of lines
Your survey will appear as a pop-up window to visitors on your site. If they have pop-ups blocked, they will receive a message with the option to turn off Pop-Up Blocker for your site.
Visitors can choose to decline the survey. If they do this, they will not see the survey again. However, if they just close the survey window--without declining--it will appear the next time they visit.
Only one survey will appear on your site at a time. However, you can input multiple surveys and manage them as active, inactive or expired.
Once your survey is active, you can view the results for each question. You can also compile the results, import them into a spreadsheet program and sort as desired.
