Overview of Teacher Page Templates
October 19, 2007
We know how devoted you are to your students and your parents and we also know how busy you are. In an effort to help you communicate better and more frequently, we have designed some simple teacher page templates. Our hope is that these will be valuable tools for you.
In recent conversations with parents, they listed these issues as most critical:
- Daily Class Schedule (so they know when you are available for calls/visits)
- Lesson Plans (so they can monitor what their student should be studying and test/quiz dates)
- Contact Information (so they don't have to search for it if they need to contact you)
The following will describe each and how you can use them to create your own customized Teacher Page. There is an option for those not comfortable in linking articles/files (teacher bio) and options for those who are (Teacher Home Page #1 and #2). Whichever you choose, you can add color, graphics, change the wording, upload files, and create links to create your own individualized Teacher Page.
Go to Teacher Templates in the Help Center or Teacher Page Templates and Examples to access the templates.
Description of Templates
Teacher Home Page #1 and #2
Both of these templates are Home Page templates, meaning all your information, including a picture, is contained in a more compact template, or table, which is more organized and attractive than having all your information in one long article.
If you select one of these Home Page templates, you will create other articles, either using the individual templates i.e. lesson plan, class schedule, or by creating your own SOCS articles. The objective is to have a Home Page that is linked to other articles that display when you click on a link in the Home Page. You do not, however, want them to show up elsewhere on the site.
Please take the opportunity to give us feedback about the templates and how they work for you by entering feedback at the bottom of this article.
