TWO IMPORTANT CHANGES TO TEACHER PAGES!

January 02, 2010

On Tuesday, December 15, we put two changes into place for Teacher Pages.  The first change allows you to retrieve a Teacher Page template that you deleted and have decided you want it back.

The second change affects how the feature will work for anyone creating Teacher Pages going forward.  This is a significant change and, we feel you will agree, a good change.  It will eliminate the need to sort through the 25 templates that were available in Teacher Pages and Pending Articles and the possibility of uploading duplicates.

These changes are reflected in the training guide which has been updated and available here.  The following is a full explanation of the two changes.

Change # 1 Where is that UNDO button when you need it?
Prior to this change, if you used or deleted a Teacher Page "template" or sample article, it was gone for good.  Unfortunately some of you found that out after the fact so....as requested, we have made it a "true" template that is always available to you.  If you need to replace any of the templates, simply click on Insert on the article editor tool bar, select the new Teacher Page Template option, and choose the template you wish to use or replace.  The template will then be inserted into your article.

Change #2 We're constantly examining our processes to make them even better. Based on that and feedback from you, we have made a change to how the templates load and are displayed.  From this point on, the Teacher Page templates will not automatically upload to My Teacher Pages and you will create your Teacher Page through Create Article, not My Teacher Pages.   The revised procedures will be available and posted here Friday, December 18.

We're happy to provide these changes that will enhance the Teacher Pages feature and thank you for your feedback on this issue.  If you have questions, please call Client Support at 800-850-8397 or email us and we will be glad to assist you.
