Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as we strive to provide services that make your job easier. Thanks to that feedback we have added new features to SOCS!
- SOCS Messages
- Edit Image Options
- Gallery Auto Start & Save Changes/Submit
- Article Redirect
- Image Rotator: Preview
- Calendar Highlights: Show Public Events
Important messages and announcements have been listed at the top of the Central Services. If you have been using SOCS Wikis and Easy Edit, you may have missed out on some communication. We have now added the messages and announcements to the login for SOCS Wikis and Easy Edit.

Need to add or remove an image from an article? We have added 2 ways to access the images for your articles.
Edit Images (Easy Edit Option):
- You will be taken directly to the Create Article screen.
- You will be able to modify all images/galleries for this article. You may also choose to continue on to the Article Editor.
- When selecting Submit, you will return to the public view of your article.
Central Services:
Did you decide to add images to your article once you started adding your article content? The new Edit Images button will take you to the Create Article Image/Gallery Screen to add images without having to submit your article first.
Gallery Auto Start & Save Changes/Submit
Galleries within your articles will now automatically start when a viewer selects the image.
When adding or editing a gallery, you will see two new buttons, Save Changes and Submit.
The Save Changes button will save all updates/changes you have made to your gallery. Click Save Changes before moving on to the next/previous image or gallery.
The Submit button will submit all changes and take you back to your entry point. For example if you were using SOCS Easy Edit you would be taken back to the public view of the article you just edited.
Use Article Redirect when you want a Section to redirect to another Website or web page within your site.
Want an article in more than one section? Use Article Redirect to link the original article to the additional section(s).
Do you have staff who teach at multiple schools? Article Redirect will assist you in linking the staff page to both schools. See Linking Multiple Staff Pages within the Staff Pages Training guide for more information.
Note: The Article Redirect needs to be added before any text you wish to add to the article.
Image Rotator: Preview Image Show Mask
When resizing or cropping your rotating images, you can now choose to preview the image with the mask. This will provide you with a more accurate view of what your image will appear like on your site.

Calendar Highlights: All Organizations
You now have the option to select Show public events from all calendars. This option prevents duplication of events on muliple calendars. For Example, if No School is an event on all calendars, the Highlights will only display it once.

| 10/18/2011 | The ability to post an article in multiple sections was much needed. I also like the option to add an image without submitting the article first. All the enhancements have been helpful. Your customer service is outstanding! |

| 10/24/2011 | I would love to be able to get into individual teachers staff pages to edit them from the "Manager" log in...I am often asked by the teachers to go in and edit something they can't figure out how to do...it is time consuming to have to log in as them and work on their staff pages...it would simplify my life if I could do that from the "Manager" log in. Thanks for all you do! |

| 12/01/2011 | Great improvements! I'm waiting for the newly improved Calendar! I'd like to see the calendar while I am posting new events so I can see if there are conflicts right away. |
